‘Active Listening’ forms part of the Pollen Series.
The Active Listening series is designed to equip you with the vital tools needed to gain traction and respect in the workplace through listening. It means that you are willing to hold up for yourself fairly- without attacking others.” Assertiveness means that you can voice your ideas, beliefs and opinions with confidence. Assertiveness benefits all your relationships and helps you to tell other people what you like, don’t like, want and need without being self-centred or bullyish. This series aims to help you discover assertiveness as critical skill in your life.
Coaching
The Coaching series is designed to equip you in becoming a better coach. You will look at what coaching is, and how it differs from managing. Pete Carroll said, "Each person holds so much power within themselves that needs to be let out. Sometimes they just need a little nudge, a little direction, a little support, a little coaching, and the greatest things can happen." This series looks at the both the GROW and LEARN coaching methods and aims to provide an overview of the purpose and place of coaching, as well as how to structure and facilitate the process of coaching.
Controlling your anger
The Controlling Your Anger series is designed to equip you to identify triggering situations and provide you with solid tools to better deal with your anger in these situations. Lawrence Douglas Wilder said that ‘anger doesn’t solve anything. It builds nothing, but it can destroy everything.’ Many of us have experienced this fact in our own lives as well, which is why it is so important for us to be able to effectively manage anger. This series aims to help you to take control of your anger instead of allowing it to control you, through practical examples and activities.
Courageous Conversations
The Courageous Conversations series is designed to help you to deal with difficult conversations that require courage and boldness on your part. Margaret Wheatley said, “Be brave enough to have the conversation that matters.” This bravery is second nature to some of us, while others struggle to broach conversations that may create discomfort or even conflict at home or at work. This series aims to equip you with information and strategies on how to have successful courageous conversations without the fear.
Dealing with Bullying
The Dealing with Bullying series is designed to equip you with the information and support necessary to identify and respond to bullying in any sphere. Maya Angelou said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” Although it is a basic human right to live and work in a safe environment, there are individuals that violate this right. Bullies are individuals who constantly victimise their targets, sometimes pushing their targets to breaking point. This series aims to help people who are targeted by a bully to deal with this unacceptable circumstance.

This series aims to help you to become more successful in dealing with difficult people.

The Decision-Making series is designed to empower you with the knowledge and techniques to improve your decision-making skills. J. R. Rim said, “It's not about making the right choice. It's about making a choice and making it right.” We make decisions every moment of our lives; from the decision to open our eyes in the morning, deciding what route to take to work, what to wear, until the moment we decide to go to sleep. Big decisions can become disabling if we do not have the skills to see our decisions through. The purpose of this series is to equip you will some techniques and strategies to help you make better decisions.
Diversity Management
The Diversity Management series is designed to help you to overcome the barriers that a diverse and multi-cultural workplace and society may present. Jesse Jackson said, “Inclusion is not a matter of political-correctness. It is the key to growth.” Each person has value to add and a different perspective that is equally worthy to consider.
